Attack of the sore throats & leaky noses...

People get colds all the time, don't they? It's one ailment that doesn't spare anyone. What's different however, is the way people react to colds. In my casual observations of mankind, I have come to the decision that people react to colds in 3 ways:

Reaction 1 -the "whatever" group:
This group of people treat a cold as just another part of life that must be dealt with and left behind. Colds are common trifling things. If they get real bad, take a couple of days off from work or college or wherever. They taker some medicines, the cold clears up and voila! End of story.

reaction 2 -the "I am Superman" group:
Perhaps the most annoying kind of patients. They like to believe that their strength of will alone is enough to keep away all such stupid diseases. They are too strong to get sick. They refuse to admit that there's anything wrong with them. They give a hard to near and dear ones because they refuse to take medicines. They deny that they have a cold in the first place. They commonly throw around dialogues like, "I'm perfectly fine! Stop making such a fuss. I never get sick." While family and friends worry over such people, they refuse to co-operate in any sort of recovering activity. Sigh! What can you possibly say to them?

Reaction 3 -the "I'm a f***ing martyr" group:
Aaah...The most amusing of all and my personal favourites!!
For these people getting a cold = end of the world, the apocalypse, doomsday etc.
For them , dealing with a cold is the same as fighting off a dragon with a toothpick. They become self-proclaimed heroes. Their suffering and bravery are supposedly the stuff of legends. They valiantly battle the many-headed monster that is the common cold. Nobody can possibly understand what they have to go through with each great resounding sneeze. Surviving inhuman conditions and emerging barely alive, they force everyone they meet to listen to their tales of pain and conquest. Our heart are supposed to overflow with the deepest sympathy. And for ever after, we must look upon these people as demi-gods or at least, the most tortured souls on the the planet.

The diversity and range of human beings is truly awesome. Amusement and laughs galore always lurk around the corner. Then why do people always say that they're bored?
Well, which type of cold affected person are you?
